For every user, but most of all for business people, low battery life is a real drag. When your smartphone, tablet or notebook dies, you are most surely left with unfinished tasks or can’t complete your daily work. Unfortunately, your high performance gadgets, amazing resolution displays or special apps for your work will not help you at all if your battery is out of juice.
Usually, a good battery comes at the expense of high gadget specs. But there are a few powerful mobile devices on the market that will work all day long. Just remember that the battery indicator gives you an estimate run time of continuous use and with careful and smart usage, you can make your battery hold until bed time.
Next, we will give you a feedback about our seven best findings on the gadget market, gadgets with good battery life time and quite high performance.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
In our opinion, this is the best business smartphone ever made. It had an amazing 3,200 mAh battery and a 5.7 inch display. Its runtime is somewhere around 10 to 11 hours of continuous use, which is no small feat considering its performance. Beside the big touch screen, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is very fast and with the built-in Multi Window feature, you will have no problems running two apps side by side. And, if that wasn’t enough, the Note 3 comes with an S Pen stylus, a great accessory for every business user.
LG G2
The G2 has outlasts almost all smartphones on the market. It can run up to 13 hours of continuous use, the display is decent, with a size of 5.2 inch, and it also features a fast quad core processor. Just like Samsung smartphone, the LG G2 comes with true multitasking functionality. This is the QSlide function, feature that allows you to open more than one app on the screen and in separate widows. So, if you need to juggle tasks, like answering to an e-mail and do a research on the web, for example, this feature comes in very handy.
Motorola Moto X
The Moto X is a slim smartphone with a great battery life. For such a slim design, this phone can last around 7 hours of continuous use, which is 45 minutes longer than your average smartphones on the market. The Motorola Moto X is not the fastest smartphone on the market and it does not have the most generous display (only 4.7 inch), but is one of the best for business users. It is sleek, portable, the display is pretty sharp, the Android experience is smooth and uncluttered and it comes with productivity boost software, like “always on” touchable controls and working with the display turned off.
Asus Transformer Book T100
As you could imagine from its name, the T100 is not a smartphone, but a 10.1 inch laptop-tablet hybrid. It is not a premium device, but we are sure you will appreciate its versatility, portability, impressive battery life and low price. It runs a full Windows 8.1 and can work for about 12 continuous hours of use. The T100 has decent specs and a detachable keyboard is included, but don’t expect it to be a top-tier piece of hardware with a high res display. The Asus’ Transformer Book T100 is a bargain. In fact, it is one of the best bargains of the year 2013 and maybe of the year 2014.
Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 inch
The Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX has a really long battery life for a tablet, almost 14 hours of continuous use, a fast processor, a very good display and it comes at an affordable price. But, from our point of view, it has a major drawback. It is built around the Amazon’s web environment and it focuses on consumption and not on productivity. The user is limited to the Amazon’s app store and lacks some important apps like Dropbox, SkyDrive or Google Maps.
Lenovo ThinkPad X240
Last year, Lenovo came up with this really solid notebook. The X240 has a stunning batter life of 17 hours of continuous use, a hot-swap battery feature called Power Bridge, an Intel Core i5 processor and a premium 12.5 inch display. Plus, it has maybe the best keyboards on the market, an important feature for all business users. One more thing about this great device is that the X240 hardware includes an internal 3 cell battery, in addition to the standard battery, allowing the swap out batteries without stopping any apps you may use.
Apple MacBook Air
Our last pick is a sleek, powerful and decent lasting battery notebook. It can run almost 12 continuous hours and has one the slimmest profiles. The MacBook Air features OSX Mavericks operating system, with may business friendly features such as an improved calendar, notification apps and document tagging.
